At Lisa’s Kitchen we know that everything that goes into our products affects the environment. That’s why we’ve worked with our suppliers to select a package that uses less material and requires less energy to produce. Lisa’s Organics buys REC’s from Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF).
BEF is a national non-profit organization that helps companies and individuals take part in reducing the effects of climate change. REC’s reduce the amount of carbon flowing into the atmosphere and help develop new renewable resources. Each REC equals 1,000 kWh of clean energy going onto the electricity grid. As a nonprofit organization, BEF reinvests the “Profits” from REC sales into new renewable energy projects.
